National Plastic produce a range of uPVC pipes, strictly in accordance with BS 3505 : 1986 standard on dimensions, material and workmanship.
The pipe is manufactured from 100% virgin unplasticized PolyVinyl Chloride compound. No re-worked material is used. The pipe is produced under
an ISO 9002 Quality Assurance System.
Pressure Classification
BS 3505 : 1986 pipe rating is based on a maximun sustained working pressure at 20°C. As temperature increases, burst strength of uPVC pipe
decreases. The pressure rating will be 2% lower for every 1°C above 20°C. As specified by the British Standard Institue for BS 3505 : 1986,
uPVC pressure pipes are not recommended for use where temperature are above 60°C. Appropriate derating factors must be taken into consideration
during design of any pipe system.
